CHALLENGE
To Cate, the founder of Common Core Yoga, yoga can be an electrifying catalyst that ignites the mind, body, and spirit. She wanted to break away from the typical depictions of earth tones and solemn peace, promoting instead the vivacious, energetic side of yoga.
FOLLOW THE LIGHT
Drawing inspiration from neon signs and yoga poses, we twisted the C's of the logo together, creating a strong bold outline. Neon lights and electricity create the flash that symbolize Common Core Yoga's values. Neon gas surges with light when it is polarized with electricity; similarly, yoga can blaze forth your soul’s inner light and energy.
FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION
“Be Here. Breathe Here. Create Shapes. Take Up Space.”

These are the phrases Cate proclaims to her clients as they flow through yoga positions.

We animated these brand phrases using a vibrant color palette and playful typography, relying on neon colors to infuse her brand with catalytic energy. Each animation connects the meaning of the phrases with the forms and functions of Cate's vision of yoga.
